Amanda Goodrich
Somatic Healing Practitioner
I am endlessly inspired by the transformation that becomes possible when we engage the wisdom of our bodies and minds. By attending to our own creature with curiosity and care, we can begin to unwind the protective patterns we once needed and discover a place from which presence, choice, and ease naturally spring. This is how I hope to serve you.
I found this work when the combined effects of developmental trauma and intimate loss became insufferable. My own experience with somatic healing has instilled in me a humble responsibility and deep desire to share its magic with others.
In addition to professional study in modalities such as Alchemy Somatics, Core Energetics, and The Hakomi Method and topical courses in areas like trauma and neuroscience, my work is informed by mentorship from teachers specializing in trauma healing, meditation, movement, bodywork, and relational practices and several thousand hours of personal exploration into the nature of mind and body.
My approach to working together is gentle, curious, and warm. Together, we’ll meet and welcome all parts of you unconditionally. We’ll go slow, follow your body’s cues, and make space for authenticity. My prayer is that through this work, you may develop such deep intimacy with yourself and your nervous system that life feels more like surfing the waves than being swallowed by them.
Outside of work, you’ll find me practicing Contact Improv and partner acrobatics, meditating, writing, singing, hiking, and trading massage. It’s a special day when I’m able to nap in the sun, swim in the ocean, or hold my grandmother’s storied hands. I’m available in Boulder and online and I can’t wait to meet you.

TESTIMONIALS
Work with Amanda feels emergent. Neither of us know where a session will go when we sit down, and yet describing the unfolding magic that happens with her as organic seems to sell short her agency in it. To describe her intuition as telepathic is not hyperbole, and she marries it with a confidence to interject and redirect when our flow gets stuck or blocked, as well as a broad toolkit for re-immersing us in the embodied subconscious.
I started this work because I wanted to shed patterns that no longer serve me. It has become clear to me through our sessions that these patterns live in my body and not just my mind. Through our work, I have cultivated an internal sense of safety, softened old tensions, and built healing relationships with old wounds. As the tight places in my body soften, my sense of freedom to engage with the world as it is, unmediated by past wounds, grows and grows. The mind says, “I don’t know,” but when you’re quiet, you do know. Amanda brings you into that wisdom.
You have opened my eyes to new possibilities. You’ve held space for me to be me, and that is the most anyone can ask for. I feel open, less afraid, and more grounded on this life journey. I know our sessions are not a cure-all, but damn they’re the check-up I’ve needed.
